(Vice President) Business Development (m/w/d)

Job Summary:

The (Vice President) Business Development will lead our outreach efforts and strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical companies in the field of psychiatry and will be responsible for promoting our Ketabon program and showcasing our precision psychiatry approach to potential partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, excellent presentation and communication skills, and the ability to lead a small, dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to expand HMNC Brain Health's partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, specifically in the psychiatry field.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue potential partnership opportunities, focusing on the promotion of the Ketabon program and our precision psychiatry approach.
  • Lead a small team of business development professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of the department's goals.
  • Represent HMNC Brain Health at industry conferences, events, and meetings, delivering compelling presentations that effectively showcase our offerings and capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target pharmaceutical companies to facilitate partnership discussions and negotiations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business development activities with overall company objectives and strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape, providing insights and recommendations to inform future business development initiatives and strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports, updates, and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities within the business development pipeline.

Requirements / Professional Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field; an advanced degree (MBA or MD) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on psychiatry.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships with pharmaceutical companies, specifically in psychiatry-related therapeutic areas.
  • Strong understanding of the drug development process, regulatory requirements, and commercialization strategies for pharmaceutical products.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel as needed to attend industry events and meetings.
